Senior Engineering Manager
Have you encountered concepts such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment, Infrastructure as a Code, Continuous Feedback or Continuous Monitoring? Are you up to date with the concept of production environment?
If you answered yes to at least one question, you are the right person for our Brno based well-run Cloud team. We are looking for an enthusiastic reinforcement who is willing to learn and help us improve automation across our SaaS product.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be working on our Xperience SaaS product – to enable our customers to manage their deployments. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be adding functionality to the infrastructure – to improve backup management, monitoring, speed-up deployments, etc. Using Terraform, you will automate the infrastructure, and TypeScript will be your friend during scripting Azure function. Taking care of our pipelines in Azure DevOps (using YAML) will be also an important part of your work.
When anything goes wrong on our end, we need to know about it as soon as possible so that our support can resolve such a snag quickly. And it's thanks to the honest monitoring that they are able to do just that. DevOps sets up alerts, trains our support colleagues, and they know what to do next.
With Whom Will You Cooperate?
You’ll report to the Engineering Manager of the Cloud team. Engineering managers at Kentico provide strategic alignment and mentorship, and help you reach your career goals. They are genuinely interested in your strong suits and help you develop them. They discover even those strengths you didn’t know you had.
Aside from your team members, you will often talk with Product Managers while working on the specific features. You will also help our Technical Writers document the features for our customers. While solving customer’s issues, you’ll be in touch with our 24/7 Support.
It's also worth mentioning that we work in a hybrid mode. You will get the chance to keep it personal twice a week. The remaining three days are up to you—come to the office or work from home. Whatever suits you best.

We believe that the technologies this role brings are truly interesting because you get to work with something that is constantly evolving, giving you the opportunity to change and improve things. At the same time, this position is definitely not routine or monotonous. The range of tasks we work on is quite broad, and it's not about getting the same repetitive tasks all the time.
Another great aspect of working on a SaaS solution is how close you are to customer projects. It enhances the sense of accomplishment, as the impact of every infrastructure improvement is visible up close. It's also great that, in addition to traditional DevOps tasks (IaC, pipelines), the role involves programming functions that support the internal API of our entire infrastructure.

Is it you? Are you a former developer with knowledge of DevOps? Yes?
Here you go.
You have experience with one of the scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python...).
You have the basics of programming in any OOP language under the belt.
You have come across a cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), however briefly.
Experience of CI/CD (Azure DevOps Services, TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI) would be a plus.
For containerization knowledge that will help us avoid common problems and move forward faster, we will appreciate you greatly.
