What will you be doing?
Create documentation in English that helps customers work with our product, Xperience by Kentico. As part of the R&D team, you will thoroughly understand the product and participate in its design. You can also apply your technical and language skills to develop and maintain our internal tools.

What it looks like in real life.
We work in an agile way, i.e. in two-week cycles. Technical Writers share offices and closely cooperate with developers and testers and participate in all sprint preparations and planning.
While the developers develop new features, we simultaneously create the documentation, describing the functionality to both technical and non-technical readers. This can include anything from custom code examples, written instructions, or diagrams for developers to creating visual explanations for marketers and editors.
As a Technical Writer, you will also work closely with colleagues in charge of our e-learning. We are part of one team, and our work needs to be well-synchronized.
In the remaining time, we develop and maintain tools we use day-to-day or help us work more efficiently. We are also big fans of the “Innovation Time” benefit. Every week, you can choose to work on projects that spark your joy, be it technical writing, programming, research, or something completely different.
What skill set do you need?
Programming is the key. You will be involved in the software development lifecycle. You should understand object-oriented programming, be able to write basic C# code, and have an overview of essential web technologies. If you know the principles of MVC architecture or the ASP.Net Core framework, you will be a star!
There is power in simplicity. Your writing should be understood by anyone straightaway—even someone who has not yet come across technical terms.
Writers talk, too. You will work closely with developers and other roles in development. If you are collaborative and able to organize your work yourself, you are our person.
Everything is in English. We write in English, so you need a solid command of the language (minimum level C1).
Spoiler alert:
Honestly, this position is a win. It's definitely about more than just writing. You will try your hand at EVERYTHING—from working with a development team to project management, from debugging to e-learning or UX.
