What Will You Be Doing?
As an Engineering Manager with a strong technical background, you will facilitate smooth cross-department communication and will be a part of the decision-making processes.
As a leader, you will guide the development team towards meeting their commitments and improving delivery performance. You will find ways to enhance the development process's efficiency while cultivating a safe, balanced, diverse, and inclusive environment. With Whom Will You Cooperate?
You’ll report directly to our VP Engineering, he provides the strategic alignment and mentorship. The team turn to Senior Developers for technical guidance; you will work shoulder to shoulder to help your colleagues grow. Our Product Managers are in charge of the product strategy and sustainability, so they will provide you with the company and product visions and priorities that you’ll pass on to the team comprehensibly. You’ll consult Kentico’s Principal Engineers, Architects, and other Engineering Managers, get and provide them with feedback, and share best practices. Together, you will ensure a coherent strategy across teams and projects.
Is It You?
We're looking for a colleague with proven experience in a technical or product environment. You might be working as a Team Leader, QA, Support Engineer, Technical Writer, or a Developer and want to move up to a leadership role where you can utilize people-management skills. You:
- Demonstrate strong empathy and excellent communication skills
- Are proactive and adept at transforming abstract ideas into actionable tasks
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software development methodologies, trends, and the product landscape
- Possess technical knowledge sufficient to understand high-level aspects of the domain and solution—that will help you communicate effectively with PMs and other stakeholders
- Have a track record of fostering team growth, optimizing processes, and resolving conflicts effectively
- Are committed to promoting company values, knowledge sharing, and scaling their impact through strategic delegation and continuous talent development
