What does that entail?
In each and every one of our development teams, there is a UX Designer who typically focuses on a specific aspect of the product only. However, to ensure outstanding user experience, the product must be seen in perspective. That's why the role of a Lead UX Designer is essential to us — it is a person who sees the solution in its complexity, improves UX as a whole and pushes our product forward.
Only rarely will you be given an assignment. Most of the time, you will be the one coming up with tasks and prioritizing them according to what's needed to be done. As such, you will sport great extent of control over your own time and operation. Rather than particularities, you will tackle more complex areas of UX — from processes to innovation and/or research. We aim to offer the best possible product — the ways to achieve that goal are up to you.
We are all based in our Brno office, including the management. You will mostly co-operate with developers, product managers, our UX team and a UX researcher. You will be in charge of leading other designers professionally, e.g. provide feedback or organize workshops. In return, we are happy to let you grow professionally as well, and send you to conferences abroad to keep in touch with the latest developments in the field.
Will we see eye to eye?
Admittedly, it is a great responsibility. That's why we are looking for a really experienced UX Designer who will take to a software company environment like a duck to water.
You should have excellent communication skills, and be a bit of a diplomat as well as an advocate at the same time, being able to defend your position. If you have experience of mentoring less accomplished colleagues, it will come in useful here.
You will be given a free hand to make independent decisions. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can not only kick things off, but also see them through to a successful conclusion. Last but not least, as we are an international business with customers all around the world, excellent command of English is a must.
